The Omega Award poll for 2009 opened on Sunday 1st March 2009 at 12.00pm UK local time and ran until Tuesday 31st March 2009 18.00pm UK local time. A systems glich meant that it was possible to continue to submit votes after the poll had closed, but counting ceased at 18.00pm UK local time as planned.

The voting integrity team checked and confirmed all votes over a period of four days, and a total of 55 have been removed as they can been confirmed as duplicated or having been submitted from an invalid ip address.

To the members of Starbase Adran:

Thank you very much for this honor. Just having been nominated to participate in this year's Omega Award, especially considering the other spectacular sites who were included, was more than I could ask. I have to be honest with you, I didn't think I would stand a chance to win, but I am pleasantly surprised and humbled by the support my site received.

I will, of course, be posting about this award on my site, thanking all of my supporters as well as the fellow participants in the contest and, of course, all those that make Starbase Adran possible.

After more than 10 years online, Starbase Adran exemplifies the best the net has to offer with regards to an entertaining, informative and interactive Star Trek related website. I wish you continued success over the 10 years ... and beyond.

Thank you, again.
